03Technology
At the Heart: The Black Edition Tube Board
At the core is a newly developed, sonically optimized tube board: refined signal paths, highly selected special operational amplifiers, precision mini-MELF thin-film resistors, and black tube sockets. Especially in the sensitive analog line stage – which amplifies only very slightly, with a factor close to 1:1 – the enormous influence of these details becomes evident: music sounds more natural, more spacious, and even more immediate.
Refinement Down to the Smallest Detail
The AVM rhodium speaker terminals, developed exclusively for the Black Edition, provide a permanently stable and exceptionally high-quality connection to the loudspeakers. The optimized silver wiring transports even the finest musical information.
Audibly More Music
Voices gain more body and naturalness, instruments separate more precisely within the soundstage, and fine structures emerge with greater clarity – without losing the musical warmth and coherence that define the Evolution Line. The result is not an artificially spectacular effect, but an audible refinement: more substance, more delicacy, and a closer emotional connection to the recording.

AVM does not develop devices as closed snapshots in time, but as high-quality platforms with deliberately open upgrade paths. Key assemblies can be selectively further developed whenever technological progress provides access to improved components – allowing AVM Masterpieces to mature alongside the expectations of their owners.

- Available for CS, AS, PAS and MP models of the .3 generation from every production year
- All 5.3 devices since the start of production (with tube module); 3.3 devices are simultaneously upgraded to 5.3 status
- The elaborate conversion is carried out by the factory service department at the manufactory (shipment required)
- The Black Edition emblem is laser-engraved into the existing top cover – the remaining appearance stays untouched; special requests are gladly accommodated
- The standard Evolution .3 Masterpieces (3.3 transistor / 5.3 tube line stage) remain unchanged in the product range; the Black Edition look can be ordered as the custom option „All-Black“
